During my invitation to Corsicana, I examined the structure of light as Isaac Newton did some 350 years ago.
As an artist, I have always dealt with the sensual qualities of colors and their psychological effects, but at this point I wanted to investigate the scientific and analytical aspects of our color spectrum.

In abundant Texan sunlight I separated rays of light into different colors through my own prisms. While experimenting with transparency and opaqueness of color, I transcended my outcome into paintings on cardboard (Per Vitrum). These works combine emotion and analysis, romanticism and sobriety, art and science.

Dank meiner Einladung nach Corsicana untersuchte ich dort die Struktur des Lichts, wie Isaac Newton vor etwa 350 Jahren.
Da ich mich als Künstlerin immer wieder mit den sinnlichen Qualitäten von Farben und ihren psychologischen Wirkungen beschäftige, wollte ich nun die wissenschaftlichen und analytischen Aspekte unseres Farbspektrums untersuchen.

Im opulenten texanischen Sonnenlicht zerlegten meine Prismen das Licht in seine verschiedenen Farben. Während ich mit der Transparenz und Opazität der Farbtöne experimentierte, übertrug ich meine Ergebnisse in Malerei auf Karton (Per Vitrum). Diese Arbeiten verbinden Emotion und Analyse, Romantik und Nüchternheit, Kunst und Wissenschaft miteinander.
